“Stan The Man” is a faith-based, sports drama that centers around Stan Jacobs (Angus Benfield), an alcoholic pro football head coach at the height of his career, who loses his status and coaching job when he coaches a game inebriated. Stan’s life rapidly spirals out of control. Now at rock bottom, homeless and living on the streets, he has a run in at a soup kitchen with Christian High School Principal Samuel Andrews (Cameron Arnett), who believes in forgiveness and second chances and is in need of a head football coach. Sam offers him the job with the condition that he stops drinking, but will Stan choose to turn his life around and take a small Christian High School to its first ever state football championship, or continue to live at the bottom of a bottle?

 

“Stan The Man” explores the effects of alcohol addiction and how it can drag someone to rock bottom in their life, and how forgiveness, faith, love and second chances can help them find their way back.
